Ruth has over 28 years’ experience in leadership and management development, coaching and mentoring and learning and organizational development in both the private and public sector. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), has a MSc in Human Resource Leadership and is a qualified Coach and Mentor. Ruth's passion is to enable leaders and managers to create a robust environment for leadership and management, whilst building their confidence and competence in people management and development through the use of coaching and mentoring skills. She believes that for learning to be effective, this must be translated into practice and must lead to results and this is where coaching and mentoring adds value.
Ruth's pragmatic approach to continuous improvement underpins her belief that all interactions must lead to positive transactions and meaningful transformation. Her experience is built on translating strategic vision and priorities into operational excellence, through coaching and consultancy, enabling and empowering leaders and managers to drive high performance, high quality and increase productivity. Her motivation is about enabling individuals to lay their foundations and develop and build themselves as leaders and managers. Through coaching, mentoring and consultancy, she enables and empowers individuals in order to build confidence and competence, as well as drive individual improvement, development, performance, quality and productivity.
One of Ruth's greatest achievements is being the mother of three boys (now men). A Civil and Structural Engineer, A Mathematician/programmer/Coder and a Politics student. Ruth's most recent achievement has been to coach and mentor 18 black, minority ethnic women across the UK, focussing on drivers, emotional intelligence, resilience and career planning and development.
Ruth's most recent commitment is to women in their mid-career, who are feeling stuck in their careers and who want to advance, progress and get paid for what they are worth. The focus is to enable the building of their confidence and competence, ensuring their added value. She believes that all learning must be translated into practice and must lead to positive results.
