North Wood has worked with world famous Grammy Award winning talents including Barbra Streisand, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Elton John, Placido Domingo, Itzhak Perlman, Patti Austin, Herb Albert, Kristin Chenoweth, Henry Mancini, Burt Bacharach, Quincy Jones, Whitney Houston, Randy Newman, Toni Braxton Marvin Hamlisch and many more He has performed as concertmaster under John Williams, performed on the soundtracks to academy award winning movies and has performed with nationally recognized music ensembles. North Wood has given keynote presentations to major corporations and associations including TRW, New York Life, Century 21, Kaiser Permanente, Litton Aero Products, California Association of Realtors, Association of Legal Administrators, Skadden Arps Slate Meagher and Flom LLP, National Association of Purchasing Management, Alabama Travel Council, O. After having won numerous awards and competitions, North Wood, at the age of twenty-three, won the concertmaster position (1st chair) of the YMF Debut Orchestra conducted by world renowned conductor and motion Picture composer, Lalo Schifrin (Mission Impossible, Mannix, The Three Tenors). This honor placed him in the upper echelon of top college level instrumentalists in the western region. Since then he has won competitions, performed major violin concertos with symphony orchestras, performed and recorded with Grammy Award winning artists, performed on the soundtracks to Academy Award winning movies, performed on the soundtracks to over two hundred major motion pictures and has hosted his own television program discussing his techniques regarding the nature of talent and achievement.
