Rev. Jason Carson Wilson is a Black gay ordained United Church of Christ minister preparing to also become an ordained priest in the Convergence Catholic Communion (an independent Catholic community). Wilson is a policy advocate, public theologian, and nonprofit leader who serves as the founding executive director of Bayard Rustin Liberation Initiative, an organization focused primarily on Black & LGBTQIA+ liberation. He’s the principal consultant at Liberating Strategies LLC. Wilson is also founder and life coach at Revision Coaching and known as the Childhood Trauma Chaplain. He’s a former journalist. Wilson earned a B.S. in News-Editorial at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1999) and a Master of Divinity at Chicago Theological Seminary (2016). He’s earning a Doctor of Ministry at Pacific School of Religion. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his husband, Jim.
