JAMES ANGLETON, JR. - BIOGRAPHY

James “Jim” Angleton, second generation Miamian, has enjoyed a 39 year Banking career whereby his family owned an OCC/FDIC Chartered NA Bank and later in life co-owner for a Federal Savings Bank that was a US Government Financial Partner. 

His Banking career began from the Teller Cage to the Real Estate Lending Department for the family institution and once sold maintained the mortgage banking division under the brand name of InterFirst. InterFirst was one of Miami’s oldest mortgage banking institutions and was sold to a foreign institution. The second bank (FSB) grew in it’s first year from $104M to $1.3b in 11 months. He attributes his rapid growth and success to by adding prepaid debit cards, private label charge and credit cards. 

In 2009, during the heightening demise in banking across the US, he sold to his partner the remaining portions of the bank and had the vision to create AegisFS as a multi-diverse Non-Financial Institution (NFI) and partnered with MasterCard and Visa. His rapid ascent towards growth mirrored his success while owning the FSB Bank. During the growth period with the Government Partners meeting their offshore needs for payroll, ID, Security Access programs he was enlisted by FDIC as a Subcontract RAC receiver. It was a dark period in US Banking however he drew deep within his tenured banking roots to assist FDIC with impaired bank closures. In 2016, Angleton returned to AegisFS and realized in the wake of the bank turndown period of time, Branch Banking would no longer be a viable representation for Community and Big Banks. He developed a unique Smart ATM-Kiosk division as a proper replacement alternative for Banks and Credit Unions. Mobile Bank Aps, Online Service, 24 hour Call Service Centers would become a suitable replacement for costly branch banking. Fast forward to the Pandemic, Angleton quickly noted that his smart ATM-Kiosks would become more important and when prominently placed throughout communities, these machines would meet the present day needs on a global scale offering Unbanked and Underserved as well as preferred banking customers with access to conventional banking. Today, AegisFS is a leader in this space and has quickly been recognized for diversified programs unmatched by others in the industry.
