Scott Brown is an Executive Business Coach, Corporate Trainer, and speaker with FocalPoint Business Coaching. Scott has over 28 years of manufacturing experience focused on production, field service, quality, engineering, and operations.

Scott’s extensive manufacturing background has enabled him to work in a variety of manufacturing environments, including low to high volume and low to high complexity. Scott’s industry experience also includes semiconductor, DOD, aerospace, and contract manufacturing. During his career, Scott has also held multiple leadership roles including:

- Quality Manager and Director of Quality

- Production Manager and Operations Manager

- New Product Introduction Manager

- Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering

In addition to manufacturing, Scott has been able to volunteer with The Partnership for Excellence, a Baldrige Based Organization serving Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia. As part of this experience, Scott had been able to develop a strong foundation of the Baldrige Framework, benchmarking, performance excellence, and organizational maturity to help organizations achieve greater success.

Through Scott’s experience, he realizes that the way we led the businesses of yesterday is not the way we lead the businesses of tomorrow. The key change is that we need to not only develop leaders before they are promoted, but we need to continue to develop them even after the promotion.  

In 2019, Scott directed his focus to address this need by developing the B.U.I.L.D. Leadership program. B.U.I.L.D., or Building Up Individual Leadership Disciplines, focuses is on helping individuals and leaders establish foundations in leadership mindsets, situational management, talent management and core leadership skills that are taken for granted or assumed.  

Today, Scott partners businesses to bring fresh eyes and new perspectives to help leaders address real-time issues that continue to limit their ability to achieve desired results.
