Ralston Francis also known as Elijah grew up on a sugar cane plantation on the northeastern coast of Jamaica. His personal experiences of poverty, exploitation and victimization associated with slavery and colonialism ignited within him a burning desire to be an advocate for change. As such, he embarked on a career in social work and sustainable community development with emphasis on individual and organizational capacity building. 

His journey started as early as age fifteen when he became very active in the formation and leadership of youth groups and voluntary community services where he lived. After leaving high school at age seventeen, his passion for uplifting the lives of poor people was greater than the pursuit of higher education. Hence, the greater part of his adult learning came from his experiences with serving people, ongoing research and interacting with the natural environment. Throughout his life’s journey, he has spent some quality time with Mother Nature, receiving tremendous inspirations from her expressions of biodiversity.



Elijah’s voluntary work in his community involved the development and implementation of several projects and programs with the assistance of local and international development agencies. In 1998 he was offered a job at the premier government agency with responsibilities for community development in Jamaica, the Social Development Commission (SDC). His primary responsibilities were to recruit and train community leaders across the island. This was a part of an international program for the eradication of poverty, sponsored by the United Nations Development Program. Within the first 12 months of his assignment, his training portfolio was expanded to include training of trainers and capacity development of other professional staff in the public sector. This position he held for twenty four years before retiring in March 2022.

He accredited his successes first and foremost to his genuine love for people and his inherent aptitude in engaging diverse individuals and groups at all levels. In addition, he had incrementally developed the expertise in the application of the principles of Adult Learning, ‘Facilitation’, Consensus building, Participatory Learning and Action (PLA). These were the characteristic attitude, knowledge and skills that he was particularly noted for throughout is entire career.

As a lifelong learner and researcher, he has an affinity to spirituality and emergence of new knowledge especially in the fields of quantum physic, epigenetics and neuroplasticity. His personal philosophy is guided by the universal laws of nature and he aims to be very active in the evolution of the collective consciousness. As such, his intention going forward is to expand his reach to a global audience to contribute to advancing the welfare of the whole human race. The primary areas he intends to focus on are:

·     Self-Awareness, Self-Responsibility and Self-Discipline

·     The dance between science and spirituality

·     Quantum Parenting

·     The promotion of sustainable development practices

The hypothesis that underlies the significance of these focus areas is that the theory of Newtonian physic of physicality and separation has served its purpose up this point. Adopting the emerging knowledge system where the science of quantum physic and spirituality collides, is the next phase of the evolution of the collective consciousness. Ralston Francis is of the view that, knowing ourselves as energy (spiritual) being, connected to one Source is the core of his message to the world.
