CAREER OBJECTIVE

    To continue to develop as a Golf Teaching Professional for all levels of players and to promote my services as such. Additionally, to assist others to develop as effective golf instructors.


EDUCATION

    B.A. Degree in Parks and Recreation Management : University of North Carolina at Wilmington; Graduated 1988.


PROFESSIONAL STANDING

    P.G.A.class "A" member since 1992. Status A-6 (Teaching Professional).

    L.P.G.A. class "A" member since 1993.

    L.P.G.A. Northeast Section Vice President -present, served as Secretary, 1995-1997.

    L.P.G.A.. Northeast Section Evaluator and Advisor, appointed 1995-present.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

    LPGA National Education Program Instructor - Serve as one of only nine national instructors to facilitate, present and evaluate the LPGA National Education Programs that are required of all members to attend to fulfill membership requirements. 1997- present

    LPGA National Evaluator and Advisor - Chosen to test, evaluate and oversee LPGA National Testing Program required of all members in the LPGA as they advance in classification. Also, advise new members as they move through the membership process. 1995 - present.

    Teaching Professional - Teaching Professional at Ed "Porky" Oliver Golf Course. Design instructional programs and rates at this public facility. Instruct individual and group lessons using video for instruction and provide custom fitted golf equipment. 1994 - present.

    LPGA UYGP Consultant - Responsible for developing and presenting Instructor's Training Program in Los Angles, Atlantic City and Wilmington, DE. as well as other Junior golf programs throughout the country, including First Tee program. 1997 - present.

    Presenter-Toronto 1999 Energy Psychology Conference -  presented a program with a Psychologist on enhancing golf performance. 1999.

    MPE Model Seminar - Developed and presented to golf professional and amateurs throughout the country a workshop with a Psychologist which explore the relationship of the mental, physical and emotional factors for increasing performance. 1998 - present.

    Teaching Professional & Coordinator - Coordinate National LPGA Junior Clinics at McDonalds LPGA Championship, Shoprite LPGA Classic and First Union Betsy King Classic.1993 - present.

    Teaching Professional - LPGA Golf Clinic for Women. Invited to instruct at one day executive women's clinics held throughout the country. 1993 - present.

    NE Section Pro-Am Committee Chair - Create and administer the LPGA T & CP Division Northeast Section Pro-Am held at LPGA International, in Daytona Beach, FL with over 72 players annually.1997 - present.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

    Coaching for the Future - Attended three day coaching seminar in Sweden that was hosted by the Swedish National Golf Federation. June 1998.

    Coaches and Players Conference - Attended three day seminar hosted by Chuck Hogan focusing on human development and performance based on genuine play. January 1997.

    Certified PGA Golfer's Psychology Program - 1996.

    Touch for Health, Brain Gyms, Switched on Golf; Accupower, and BSFF- Attended various seminars in TFT and Educational Kinesiology.

    LPGA UYGP Program Coordinator - LPGA Junior Golf Program, Wilmington, Delaware. Responsibilities include the development of this national program for first year of operation. 1995-1997.


HONORS AND AWARDS

    Golf Magazine Regional Top Teachers, 2001.

    Golf for Women ® Top 50 Teachers, 2000.

    Top 15 in Women's Maryland Open, 1999.

    UYGP Barbara H. Dengler Scholarship Award- created and distributed over $8,000 to UYGP participants for higher education expenses. 1999.

    Guest speaker on National Public Radio (NPR) program discussing The Masters event of 1998 and the progress and future of women's golf.

    Selected as 1 of 22 instructors for "Analysis of Expertise in Golf Instruction"
    research project conducted by the University of Georgia. November 1997.

    1996 Northeast Section LPGA T&CP Division "Teacher of the Year".

    1995 and 1997 Nominee Northeast Section LPGA T&CP Division "Teacher of the Year".

    Finished 1st in the Women's division of the Philadelphia PGA Red McCarthy event. 1991 & 1992.

    Twice qualified and participated in the USGA Women's Public Links Championship 1985 & 1987.

    Top twenty finisher in the S.S.C.C. Championship 1988.


ACTIVITIES / INTEREST

    P.I.A.A certified high school basketball official 1983-1994.

     Hiking, yoga and reading.
