Cornelius Lee Barker, MA

EDUCATOR-LECTURER-CONSULTANT
-MINISTRY-AUTHOR

"It's Time For The Doctor"

LET ME HELP YOU MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES - FAILURES ARE IN PENCIL…ERASE THEM…I DID !!!

Cornelius suffered from the lack of parental love. He joined a gang to gain acceptance and experienced more than his share of physical and mental abuse. The horrific treatment by the adults in his life played a large part in the bad choices he had made. His gang membership alienated many adults in his life. They misunderstood and often punished him unfairly. He tried repeatedly to prove his intelligence and natural gifted talents, but met with disapproval and discouragement. For the most part, his life was one of searching for acceptance, recognition and respect.

He is now a renowned co-author of 12 published books and a much sought-after lecturer for school and community groups on the subject of cognitive and behavioral trends exhibited by today’s youth. Cornelius in conjunction with A VISION IN MOTION has visited 17 states, thus far and has visibly touched the hearts and minds of over 115,798 students, parents, teachers, PTAs and more. Cornelius has since retired after more than 33 years in the capacity of classroom teacher and as administrator on both the elementary and secondary levels.

Bio:

A former gang member that became a school administrator. Cornelius lived a life which a soap opera writer would appreciate. His world was one of constant trials and tribulations. Many of them grew out of the bad choices he made, while others were beyond his control. Principals and teachers misunderstood his search for recognition and acceptance, and rewarded his actions with frequent punishments and suspensions.

Cornelius was admitted into a street gang. They were thugs who carried weapons and caused problems in the neighborhood. However, he began to have misgivings when he was placed in awkward positions. Cornelius' life was one of searching for acceptance, recognition and respect. He realized that being successful in life does not mean having a lot of material possessions. He realized the value of a good education, which will be his forever.

Cornelius is presently a much sought-after lecturer for school and community groups on the subject of current cognitive and behavioral trends exhibited by today's youth. His career in education has spanned more than 25 years in the capacity of classroom teacher and administrator on both elementary and secondary levels. Cornelius has published over 10 books.
